Floc Tester ET830

The Lovibond® Floc Tester ET830 provides a practical and portable solution for evaluating coagulation and flocculation in water and wastewater treatment. By simulating treatment conditions on a smaller scale, it allows operators to compare flocculants, assess different dosages and optimise treatment conditions before making changes to the full-scale process.

With four stirring positions, programmable operating times and adjustable stirring speeds, the ET830 provides controlled and reproducible testing for routine laboratory and on-site applications. Testing can be carried out in accordance with ASTM D2035-19, supporting a consistent approach to coagulation-flocculation studies.

Controlled and Reproducible Testing

The ET830 allows two stirring speeds to be programmed to reproduce different stages of the treatment process. Speed changes can be controlled automatically by time or carried out manually, providing flexibility for different testing procedures.


Digital speed adjustment from 20 to 250 rpm and a programmable timer from 1 to 240 minutes, with continuous operation also available, give operators precise control over test conditions.


Four stirring positions allow multiple samples to be compared simultaneously, while the continuously adjustable stirrer height accommodates beakers from 500 mL to 1,500 mL.

Designed for Laboratory and On-Site Use

The ET830 combines straightforward operation with a portable design, making it suitable for both laboratory investigations and testing directly at treatment sites.


A large illuminated display provides clear visibility of operating settings, while the language-independent controls simplify day-to-day use. Overhead lighting improves visibility of the samples during testing, helping operators observe floc formation and compare treatment performance.


For testing away from the laboratory, the ET830 can also be powered using a 12 V DC car adapter, while sturdy transport handles make the instrument easier to move between locations.
