XD Series Spectrophotometers
Available as the XD 7000 VIS and XD 7500 UV/VIS, the series features premium reference beam optics, more than 170 pre-programmed methods, automatic barcode test recognition and automatic cuvette detection. These features simplify routine analysis while providing the measurement performance and flexibility required for more advanced laboratory applications.
Alongside routine water testing, the XD Series supports spectral scanning, kinetics, absorbance, transmission and user-defined methods, making it suitable for a broad range of industrial, environmental and analytical applications.
Intelligent, Automated Analysis
The XD Series is designed to simplify laboratory workflows and reduce unnecessary manual setup.
An integrated barcode reader automatically recognises compatible Lovibond® reagent tests and selects the appropriate method. Automatic cuvette recognition identifies the type of sample cell being used, helping streamline the measurement process and reduce the potential for incorrect settings.
A large 7-inch colour display, multilingual interface and intuitive controls provide straightforward access to methods, results and instrument functions.
High-Performance Reference Beam Optics
At the heart of the XD Series is a reference beam optical system designed to provide accurate, reproducible measurements and excellent long-term stability.
Two instrument configurations are available:
- XD 7000 VIS – visible spectrophotometer with a wavelength range of 320–1100 nm
- XD 7500 UV/VIS – UV/visible spectrophotometer with an extended wavelength range of 190–1100 nm
With a wavelength resolution of 1 nm and a broad photometric range, the XD Series provides the performance required for both routine testing and more advanced spectrophotometric analysis.

Integrated Analytical Quality Assurance functions help laboratories check instrument performance, analytical methods and potential matrix effects, supporting quality-controlled laboratory workflows and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Approximately 5,000 results can be stored internally, while configurable user profiles and three access levels – Guest, User and Administrator – provide greater control over instrument operation and stored data.
Ethernet and USB connectivity, together with ASCII and CSV data export, allow results to be incorporated into wider laboratory reporting and LIMS workflows.
